Choose page names and dividers that stay useful

Make the page list readable for teammates who did not create the file.

Name the destination

“Checkout — ready for review” describes both the work and its state. “Final final 2” does not. Choose whether numbers represent sequence or a fixed grouping, and use that rule consistently. Leave space in the numbering if new groups are likely.

Use hierarchy sparingly

PageGenius can help format page names, dividers and visual hierarchy. Keep groups shallow enough to scan. Long decorative prefixes consume space in the sidebar, so prioritize a meaningful label over repeated symbols.

Review a realistic file

Test your naming with a project that has active, archived and shared-library work. Ask a teammate to find the latest reviewed screen. If they must open several similarly named pages, simplify the structure before adding more formatting.
